Meet The Team

Jo is the Partnership Development Manager in North Wealden and has been at the Partnership for 4 years. Jo is a keen football fan and still enjoys playing for Haywards Heath. She occasionally enjoys playing hockey and golf.

Linda Ingle (contact details)

Linda is the Assistant Partnership Development Manager for the North Wealden School Sport Partnership. Linda was formerly a PE and OE teacher and still enjoys canoeing and skiing when time allows.

Jo Fairbairn (contact details)

Jo Fairbairn is the Partnership's Multi Skills Coach. Jo is a Level 2 Football and Tennis Coach and also Level 1 in Volleyball. Jo is currently undertaking her Level 3 Tennis qualification. Jo is a keen sports woman & plays football for Haywards Heath Town Ladies.

Andy Wright (contact details)

Andy works on the National Competition Managers scheme. Andy has been working in North Wealden for the last 3 years, he now combines this role with Competition Manager for the Mid Sussex Partnership. Andy is a retired sprinter (getting slower by the year) who tries to play football for a team in East Grinstead when he's not at home playing with his baby boy. Also plays the odd game of golf, squash and cricket pretty badly!

Oli Stevens (contact details)

Oli Stevens is the SSCo for the Beacon Cluster. Oli works alongside Rachel in the cluster. Oli loves playing football, cricket, tennis and golf and has also recently brought a kayak that he likes to use on a sunny day!

Louise Thompson is the SSCo for the Chailey Cluster. Louise's schools are Hamsey, Plumpton, Chailey St Peters, Barcombe, Ditchling, Fletching, Newick, Danehill and Wivelsfield. Louise is a keen horse rider.

Rachel Virgo (contact details)

Rachel is the SSCo for the Beacon cluster. Her schools are; Groombridge St Thomas, Rotherfield, St Mary the Virgin, St Michael’s, Forest Row, Jarvis Brook, Herne, Whitehill, Sir Henry Fermor, St Mary’s Catholic school, St John’s and Grove Park. Rachel’s interests are playing football for Haywards Heath LFC, Stoolball for Uckfield and squash socially.

James Gietzen (contact details)

James is the SSCo for the Uckfield Cluster James is a keen sportsman and is currently a PE teacher at UCTC. James has many interests outside of school which include playing Rugby for Eastbourne. James has represented in golf, Sussex Eastbourne and was part of the Willingdon Team that won the county knock out event in 2007. He is currently playing off a handicap of 2

James and Sarah’s schools are; St Mark’s, Framfield, St Philip’s, Harlands, Manor, Nutley, Bonners, Holy Cross, Little Horsted, Rocks Park, Buxted, High Hurstwood.

Sarah Wakeford (contact details)

Sarah is a PE teacher at UCTC and works alongside James as SSCo. Sarah has played rugby for many years, playing for Richmond, captaining The South and participated in the Super League. Sarah was also a keen athlete and gymnast.

Sarah & James’s schools are; St Mark’s, Framfield, St Philip’s, Harlands, Manor, Nutley, Bonners, Holy Cross, Little Horsted, Rocks Park, Buxted, High Hurstwood.

Jackie Wood (contact details)

Jackie is the SSCo for the Uplands Cluster. Jackie's schools are Mark Cross, Wadhurst, Ticehurst, Frant, Stonegate and Mayfield. She is also a multi sport coach and coaches rugby, badminton and netball to children and adults. Jackie enjoys walking her dog on the downs and swimming.

Max Cobbold (contact details)

Max is the SSCo for the Heathfield Cluster. Her schools include; Broad Oak, Buwarsh, Dallington, Five Ashes, All Saints and St Richards, St Mary’s Secondary School, Parkside, Cross in Hand, Punnetts Town & Maynards Green. Max is heavily involved in the Heathfield Panthers Netball Club. She has recently taken up golf and is working hard at the handicap!
