Funded through DCSF (Department of Children Schools & Families) the School Sport Partnership must ensure that all areas of funding for schools fall within the eligible criteria and that all of the relevant paperwork is completed for audit purposes.

Information for Partner Primary Schools.

Each of our Primary Schools is entitled to claim up to 10 days per year for supply cover for PE related activities. Please remember that it is primarily a training budget therefore should be used for supply cover whilst the PLT, or relevant member of staff, is attending a PE training course, cluster or partnership meetings. We also cover attendance on East Sussex County Council & Sussex Sport PE courses.

If there are any days left over these can be used for any supply cover needed for staff accompanying their children to tournaments and festivals organised through the Partnership.

Claims should be made on a termly basis or after the event has taken place, remembering our financial year runs in line with the academic year. This year’s claims are for £168 for a full day or £84 for a half day. We only accept full or half day claims.

Ineligible items would include;

• Twilight and weekend activities
• Coaching costs
• Equipment purchase
• Non school sport partnership competitions

To make a claim;
Please complete a Journal Transfer Form – Part A, ensuring that your line for GL Code, Amount, Cost Centre / Internal Order and Text is completed in RED.

In addition we require a PLT Supply Claim Form to be completed, ensuring that Sections A or B are completed and Section C is completed.
